Homework
This year we have changed the way we deliver our maths homework. Your child will be receiving their new maths homework books from next week. It is really important to watch the video below as it explains the great benefits to our new homework book. Please click the link below to watch the video.
Your children will have 3 pages to complete between Monday and Thursday. On Friday, they must be returned to the classroom to be marked.
The homework books are in line with what we teach at school using the White Rose Scheme. This means all children will have been taught concepts at school before they do their homework.
Maths Online Platforms
At St Vincent’s, we pay for two great online platforms to help support your child’s fluency in Maths.
Please ensure you log in at home using your child’s school log in details:
Year 2 - Year 6: TT Rockstars - for recall and fluency in times tables
Reception - Year 2: NumBots - for number bonds and recall and fluency in mental addition and subtraction
In addition to this, I highly recommend that you download the White Rose Maths App. It is available on Apple, Google and Amazon Kindle devices and currently free! It is a super app to support your child with subitizing (EYFS and Year 1), addition, subtraction (all year groups) , multiplication and division (Year 2-6). Please refer to your child’s year group curriculum overview to ensure you focus on the right activities suitable for your child’s age.
