The 2025-26 One Page School Calendar is now available and posted to the Website here. Please be aware, that this calendar is ALWAYS subject to change. We will continue to communicate changes via the Irish Weekly when changes occur.
On behalf of the Green Street Elite, we are thrilled to announce the 2025 St. Vincent–St. Mary High School Prom: Golden Hour! This exciting event will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at House Three Thirty, located at 532 W. Market Street, Akron, OH doors open at 6:30 pm and close at 7:00 pm. There will be no Promenade prior to the event.
If you would like to take pictures and order them while you're at Prom here is an order form from Carmen Studios. You can order them ahead of time by calling the studio as well. There will be backdrop set up for you to take photos in front of to remember the night.
We look forward to seeing everyone dressed in their Prom Best!
AP PSYCHOLOGY UPDATE
Due to a nationwide College Board issue, the AP Psychology exam was not administered today. The make-up exam is scheduled for May 23 at 12 PM at the school. Location details will be emailed. For questions, contact Mrs. Busey at rbusey@stvm.com.
SECOND SEMESTER EXAM SCHEDULE
Exams run from 9:00–11:20 AM each day, with a break from 10:00–10:20 AM.
May 19: Block 1 & 3
May 20: Block 5 & 7
May 21: Block 2 & 4
May 22: Block 6 & 8
Makeup exams: 11:30–12:30 PM daily.
Reminders:
Arrive for your first exam and leave after your last.
Makeup exams may also be taken during Study Hall with teacher approval.
Double blocks meet as directed by teachers.
Uniform required.

Next week, locker clean-out will take place during the breaks between exams each day.
Tables will be available to collect new or gently used items. Consider donating gently used items
Returning students may keep their Chromebooks over the summer. All textbooks and novels will be collected by individual classroom teachers.
2025/26 TUITION ACCOUNTS
Tuition Accounts for the 2025/26 School Year are in the process of being updated. Scholarships and all other adjustments are being added to individual accounts as the information is finalized and received by the business office. This means account balances will be changing during the next two weeks and missing or incomplete information is to be expected.
Accounts will be completed and final on June 1. If you have questions starting June 1, please contact Barb DeGrand at bdegrand@stvm.com.
The summer mission trip to El Salvador needs your help! Please review the donation list here for items that will help make our trip a success as we serve and love the beautiful people of El Salvador. As we plan our trip, you can be a part of it, by bringing in some of the attached items on the list through the end of May! Please prayerfully consider your contribution. God is going to use whatever you have to bless this mission and people with which we come in contact.

SAVE THE DATE: Parents’ Club is hosting a Used Uniform Sale on Tuesday, June 10, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the STVM student center. Items range in price from $1-$10. Cash or check preferred; Venmo will also be accepted. Don’t miss out on your chance to save money!
DONATE NOW: Do you have items your student has outgrown? SENIOR PARENTS, do you want to declutter your seniors’ closet? Gently used uniforms/spirit wear/sports items may be dropped off at the STVM office during school hours.

The Irish Family extends our heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to Chinese teacher Lucy Yang, who has accepted a position at another school.
While we will be sad to see her go at the end of this school year, we wish her much success.
2025-26
STUDENT AMBASSADORS ANNOUNCED
Congratulations to those students who were selected as Ambassadors for the 2025-26 school year! Emails were sent to selected students on Monday April 28 with details, including mandatory and other key dates for next school year. An Ambassador Leadership Workshop will be held on May 21, 2025 from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on the STVM campus. It is important that Ambassadors attend this event. Lunch will be provided. Please see or email Mrs. Jurevicius or Ms. McCarthy with any questions.
Per STVM's tuition agreement signed at the time of registration, please remember that all tuition payments are expected to be paid with the following guidelines:
Returning Students:
Tuition accounts for current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are expected to be paid in full by May 31, 2025.
Returning students with outstanding balances will not be permitted to return to campus for the following school year, including all summer programs, until all amounts owed are received and paid in full. Summer programs include weight training, camps, athletic practices, summer classes, band camp, etc.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Algebra 2/HAPS (recommended A in the course) & Teacher Recommendation
This half credit course is intended for students who are strong and/or interested in mathematics that are looking to accelerate to take AP level math their sophomore/junior year. It will exceed state and national standards for content curriculum. This is a hybrid course where students will meet in person twice a week(Monday and Wednesday) and work online the other three days a week. Students will experience math topics in numeric, symbolic and graphic form. Students will be expected to demonstrate mastery of course material mentally, using paper and pencil techniques, and with technology. Students will work through foundations of geometry, shapes and transformations, as well as trigonometry. Register online here. Registration deadline: May 12th.

Students MUST SIGN OUT of the Attendance Office if they leave school early.
