STEAM ACCREDITATION
St. Vincent–St. Mary High School (STVM) has officially been accredited by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce and the Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN), as the only Catholic high school in the state of Ohio with a STEAM designation, adding recognition for our fine arts program to our award-winning STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) curriculum. This honor marks a significant milestone in the school’s continued commitment to innovation, academic excellence, and faith-centered education.
Previously recognized as Ohio’s only Catholic high school with a STEM designation from 2019 through 2025, STVM has now elevated its academic model to STEAM, setting a new standard that integrates innovation, creativity, and faith-centered learning.
“STEAM at STVM represents more than an academic model, it reflects who we are as a Catholic school rooted in Marianist values and committed to developing the whole student,” said Principal Erin Faetanini. “By bringing faith, creativity, curiosity, and innovation together, we are preparing students to think critically, solve complex real-world problems, and lead with purpose in college, careers, and life.”
DONATE TO THE FUND FOR STVM
As we near the end of STVM’s fiscal year on June 30, we are especially grateful for the continued support of our parents and families who help make so much of our mission possible.
Parent support of The Fund for STVM is essential to the strength and success of our school community. These gifts directly benefit our students by supporting tuition assistance, academic programs, campus ministry, fine arts, athletics, faculty support, and the many experiences that shape life at STVM.
Your consideration of a gift to The Fund for STVM at this time is greatly appreciated. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us finish the year strong and prepare for the 2026-27 school year with confidence.
Gifts can be made online, securely here.
Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to STVM and our students.

SENIOR PARKING SPOT PAINTING: CLASS OF 2027
It’s time!!! Parents’ Club is ready to help you make your first SENIOR MEMORY and paint your parking spot for the 2026-2027 school year! The cost is $100, which includes the cost of your parking permit. (You still need to submit a Parking Permit Application form to the Bookstore, but you will pay through Parents’ Club).
TO RESERVE A SPOT, senior students are required to:
1) complete the Google Form Contract
2) pay the $100 fee
BEFORE ANY PAINTING CAN BEGIN, senior students must also
1) submit the 2026-2027 Parking Permit Application Form to the Bookstore:
2) obtain approval for their design
Important Things to Note:
Parents’ Club will provide the paint only. Senior students must provide own brushes, rollers, paint tray(s), tape, towels/wipes, paint tray(s), containers to mix paint, trash bags, etc. No trash should be left behind.
Allotted parking spots are reserved for seniors on a first come, first served basis.
The Bookstore has reserved spots #1-63 for senior painted spots. These are the only spots available for painting.
These spots are only guaranteed during school hours.
DESIGNS
Designs MUST be submitted and approved BEFORE the student is allowed to begin painting. Seniors may upload their design when they first submit the Google Form Contract to secure their spot. If they do not know what their design is yet, they can submit the design at a later date by emailing it to parentsclub@stvm.com.
PAINTING DATES
Painting dates are listed in this SignUp Genius. We are offering varying days/times in July and August. Please know that most students take more than one session to paint their design. Also note that the dates will be subject to change due to weather. Don’t wait too long to schedule your time slot, the summer will fly by before you know it, and we cannot paint after the 1st week of August because of conflicts with school events. Finally, you MUST come to paint your spot on the scheduled days ONLY. And don’t forget to bring your brushes, rollers, paint tray(s), tape, towels/wipes, containers to mix paint, trash bags, chalk to trace a design, a broom to sweep away debris before you paint, etc. Ask someone who did it last year for their advice on what worked best if you like. The more prepared you are, the better!
PARENT VOLUNTEERS
We need your help! We could use 1-2 parents (in addition to the Parents’ Club coordinators) to help us mix paint and refill paint containers on the painting days. Please consider coming to volunteer – it is fun! Time slots are listed on the SignUp Genius.

2026-2027 UNIFORM UPDATES
As we continue to strengthen the STVM community and the pride that comes with it, we're pleased to share that next year's dress code includes just two minor updates that are a step toward an even more consistent and unified Irish appearance.
Pants: Uniform pants will continue to be permitted in both grey and khaki (tan) - two classic, easy-to-find options that keep your student looking sharp and consistent with the STVM standard. To help maintain a clean, unified look, black pants will no longer be permitted as part of the dress code. Over time, black jeans, leggings, and sweatpants had become increasingly common. After careful review and consideration of the challenges of enforcing the dress code regarding the proper styles of black pants, we have decided it is necessary to eliminate this color option from our current dress code. By simplifying the palette to grey and khaki, we establish a clear, consistent standard while helping all students to present themselves with confidence.
Crew Neck Sweatshirts: Last year, STVM introduced the Nike crew neck sweatshirt, available in green and grey in both men's and women's cuts (pictured above). These are now the only approved crew-neck sweatshirts for regular school-day wear (Monday–Thursday). They are available for just $30 through the STVM Bookstore.
What's Staying the Same
All previously approved quarter-zips are still permitted. No changes there!
Previously approved crew neck sweatshirts can still be worn on Fridays and spirit dress-down days.
All other dress code policies remain unchanged.
We're grateful for your continued support in helping our students represent STVM with consistency and pride. As always, don't hesitate to reach out to administration@stvm.com with any questions!
SAVE THE DATE:
AUG 17 & 18 COLLEGE KICKSTART WORKSHOPS
Attention Juniors: STVM is hosting College Kickstart Workshops Aug. 17-18 for students in the Class of 2027.
Throughout the workshops, students will:
Create and begin building their Common Application account
Receive step-by-step guidance on completing application sections
Work on college essays, personal statements, and supplemental responses
Strengthen their activities and involvement section
Review application timelines, deadlines, and next steps
Receive individualized support from counselors and college professionals
Since all juniors will complete a college essay as part of their summer assignments, this is a great opportunity to receive feedback from professionals and fine-tune essays before school starts.
Workshops will be offered in both morning and afternoon sessions across the two days for your convenience. Details will be emailed to students and posted in Irish Weekly. For a list of other important dates in the college planning process, please click here to review the College and Career Planning & Timeline, Class of 2027 presentation, which was shared with families of juniors in February. Please note, there will not be workshops held on the 8/19 as previously communicated.
