Several STVM students shared a special meal for high school teens with Bishop Malesic and Bishop Woost at the Fest on Sunday! Not only did we eat and chat with the Bishops, but also shared in prayer together, receiving a special blessing from Bishop Malesic.
We are excited to welcome Maddie Cooper as our new Assistant to Campus Ministry! Maddie graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2023 and spent the following year serving in Cleveland with The Culture Project, a missionary organization dedicated to promoting human dignity and authentic love through Catholic teaching. Most recently, she lived in Columbus, where she worked as the Office and Events Coordinator for the Canal Winchester Chamber of Commerce. Maddie and her husband, Jack, were recently married and moved to Wadsworth, OH, this past March. Maddie is eager to return to working in ministry and begin this new chapter serving our school community through faith, fellowship, and service!

2025-26 School Year Theme: Verso l'alto! This means: "To the Heights" or "To the Top." This theme is based on the life and faith of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, who will be canonized with Blessed Carlo Acutis on September 7, 2025. Blessed Pier Giorgio was called by St. John Paul II, "The Man of the Beatitudes". You can click here to watch a great explanation of the Beatitudes.
Let us ask our Blessed Mother to wrap her mantle of care and protection around our STVM family as we close our summer and get ready for the new school year. Please know of my unceasing prayers for each of you. If you need anything over the summer, please don't hesitate to reach out at 330-253-9113 ext. 118 or jgoshe@stvm.com

Jude's Reflection on Mission Trip
I had an incredible experience on the STVM mission trip to El Salvador. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to meet the amazing people of El Salvador and share the gospel with them. The trip had a very profound impact on me because it showed me what it is like to be the hands and feet of Jesus as well as what it means to love God by loving others. This trip was also a great way for me to get to know some of my classmates better and grow in my faith with them. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this trip for creating such a beautiful mission experience. I hope that I can return to El Salvador in the future and continue to serve others as Jesus would.
MARIANIST MOMENT
Marianists believe that Mary is the perfect model of discipleship. She shows us how to love, trust, and follow Jesus better than any other human being. She also encourages us to "Do whatever He tells you." John 2:5
To learn more about the Marianist Family, please check out their latest Family magazine here.
It is important to understand why we, as Catholics, hold Mary in high esteem, call her our Mother, and ask for her intercession. This short video with Fr. Mike Schmitz gives a good introduction and explanation to help us to understand our relationship with Mary.
Here is a link to other resources about Mary, how to pray with Mary, Marian Feast days, and activities to celebrate Mary.
We invite and encourage you to download the Marianist App for lots of great resources and information.
This article will also help you get to know Blessed William Joseph Chaminade better.
