Sunday, Oct. 6 was National Coaches Day and the St. Vincent-St. Mary Athletic Department would like to recognize and thank all of our coaches for their contributions, dedication and hard work towards making our teams and student-athletes the best they can be. They play an integral role at STVM and are all greatly appreciated, Go Irish!
After a 20-plus year career at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, head athletic trainer Brian Knight has accepted a position with the University of Akron men's basketball team. Knight has been an integral part of the STVM Athletic Department throughout his athletic training career. We wish him all the best in this new chapter of his career and thank him for his years of service! Knight's last day in the office will be Oct. 11 but he will assist the STVM athletic training staff the rest of the football season.
The fall postseason has arrived! Recaps from the boys golf, girls golf and girls tennis sectional tournaments are posted below, while the boys soccer, girls soccer and girls volleyball sectional and district tournaments begin next week. STVM Athletics will be hosting an college bound student-athlete and parent informational meeting for any junior and senior interested in playing a sport at the next level. Erik Mathis, senior athletic director for compliance at Cleveland State University, will be our guest speaker covering topics such as recruiting, questions to ask coaches, financial aid, and eligibility. We hope to see you on Thurs., Oct. 24 at 6pm in the student center!
Mark your calendars! The third annual STVM Athletics Golf Outing will be hosted on Mon., June 30. 2025 at Silver Lake Country Club. More details will become available closer to the date. We hope to see you there!

ALL levels of STVM home athletic events will be ticketed. STVM will now accept cash sales and electronic payments (credit/debit) at all home athletic events. We strongly encourage purchasing your ticket ahead of time online to guarantee your seat. Cash sales at the door do not guarantee admittance at the respective athletic event due to possibly reaching venue capacity.
Please note: All STVM students receive free admittance into all regular season home athletic events with a student ID unless noted otherwise. All OHSAA postseason and tournament games hosted at STVM require all spectators (including STVM students) to purchase a ticket to attend.
The following sports will have their respective prices for regular season home events:
Varsity football: $10 adults; $8 students. STVM charges a $5 parking fee for all home varsity football games.
All levels of soccer, wrestling, baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, lacrosse, and JV Football: $8 adults; $6 students
Freshman football: $5 for all spectators
All scrimmages are free
