January 5th- Welcome back! Please charge devices for Technology tomorrow.
Many students did not do very well on the Oceans and Continents quizzes we did before break. If your child would like to study this week and retake these 2 quizzes to improve his/her grade- Friday is the day! This is optional. If your child was absent- these quizzes will be taken Friday also. Thanks! Look in your child's binder for study sheets.
ELA- Vocabulary sentences- due next week. Blooket on Google Classroom for extra work.
Math- IXL tonight and tomorrow night to prep for MAP on Wednesday morning.
pg 307 and 308- subtraction with and without regrouping. Remind your child to look at the ones column first and ask "can I take the bottom number away from the top?" If not- regroup and solve. If the top ones number is bigger or equal to the bottom number- you don't need to regroup.
Spelling- look over pretest and work on new long e words (menu choice)
Religion- Blooket on Google Classroom for more work on The Epiphany.

November 24th and 25th-
No homework this week. Please review your child's work in the yellow folder. Please sign any work that was an SN or 70% or lower. Please sign and return the yellow folder tomorrow. This was the first time I did not read the questions on the vocabulary and comprehension tests out loud. Students had to complete their work independently. This was harder, so many did not score as high as usual. We will review test taking strategies after the break (taking their time, reading all the questions....)
