We're here to make your Light Up Christmas experience merry, memorable, and stress-free! 🎄🩷
Where do I find my dancer's rehearsal schedule?
Easy peasy! Visit our REHEARSAL FINDER page, select your dancer's class, and you'll find their studio rehearsal, dress rehearsal, show assignment, and dancer call time all in one place!
Where are rehearsals held?
We have TWO different rehearsal locations!
STUDIO REHEARSALS: Held at Studio Dee.
DRESS REHEARSALS: Held at Mount St. Joseph University, our performance venue.
Be sure to double-check your rehearsal schedule so you're heading to the right place!
Are rehearsals mandatory?
YES! Both studio rehearsals and dress rehearsal are mandatory for all participating dancers.
These rehearsals are an important part of preparing for a safe, organized, and fabulous performance. We're counting on everyone to be there!
Can parents watch dress rehearsal?
Absolutely! Parents are welcome to watch dress rehearsal and get a sneak peek at all the holiday magic coming to the stage!
What if my dancer is sick or cannot attend rehearsal?
Please call or text Studio Dee at 859-261-3337 as soon as possible so our staff can assist you.
What should my dancer wear to rehearsal?
Studio rehearsals and dress rehearsals have different attire requirements!
Visit our DANCER DETAILS page and open WHAT TO WEAR | STUDIO & DRESS REHEARSALS for everything you need to know.
When will my dancer receive their costume?
Costumes will be sent home the week of November 16–21! All account balances must be current before costumes can be released.
Where can I purchase my dancer's tights?
Right in our Studio Dee Boutique! You can find the shopping link in our SD Family LinkTree.
Not sure which color to purchase? Check the costume instructions attached to your dancer's garment bag for the specific tights requirements.
What should my dancer wear to dress rehearsal and show day?
Dancers should arrive already wearing the costume, tights, and shoes for their FIRST (or ONLY) dance.
For show day, hair and makeup should also be complete before arriving at the theatre.
What if my dancer has multiple costumes?
Bring all additional costumes, tights, shoes, and accessories in a garment bag, clearly labeled with your dancer's name.
Our Studio Dee staff and designated helpers will assist dancers with costume changes backstage.
How should I style my dancer's hair and makeup?
Keep that beautiful face visible! We recommend hairstyles that pull hair away from the face, such as a bun, ponytail, braid, or half-up style.
Age-appropriate stage makeup is recommended to help facial features show under the stage lights.
Visit our DANCER DETAILS page for more hair, makeup, and costume tips!
What if something is missing from my dancer's costume?
Don't panic! Contact the Studio Dee office as soon as possible so we can help get everything sorted out before show day.
Call or text 859-261-3337 or email office@studiodeeNKY.com.
What should my dancer bring backstage?
Less is MORE! Please limit belongings to additional costumes and accessories (if needed), a labeled water bottle, and essential hair accessories.
No food, snacks, cell phones, tablets, toys, or valuables backstage, please!
We want our dancers focused on having FUN and lighting up that stage! 🎄
What time should my dancer arrive?
Our lobby check-in station opens ONE HOUR before showtime, and all dancers must be checked in and backstage 30 MINUTES before curtain!
Please visit our REHEARSAL FINDER for your dancer's specific show assignment and arrival information.
Baby Starz have a special arrival schedule. See below!
Where do dancers check in?
All dancers check in at our Dancer Check-In Station in the theatre lobby at Mount St. Joseph University.
Once checked in, our Studio Dee staff will escort dancers to their assigned dressing rooms.

Backstage and dressing rooms are reserved for dancers and Studio Dee faculty only.
Our staff and designated helpers will take great care of your performers while you sit back and enjoy the show!

How does dismissal work after the finale?
After our grand finale, all participating dancers will remain onstage.
Parents will be invited to join their dancers onstage for a happy reunion!
Each class will have an assigned older dancer, one of our Studio Dee Bigs, who will stay with the group until every dancer has been reunited with their family. Faculty will also remain onstage to help with dismissal.
Please wait until invited onto the stage.
Can we take photos after the performance?
ABSOLUTELY! 📸
We encourage families to capture those special moments with dance friends, teachers, and fellow performers after the finale.
These are the memories we'll treasure long after the curtain closes!
Can my dancer leave before the finale?
Our finale is a special moment for our dancers and families! All participating dancers should remain backstage through the finale and be reunited with their families during our onstage dismissal.
