CLARK PARK 2023 MASTER PLAN
GOAL OF THE MASTER PLAN
The Friends of Clark Park is working with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and the University City District to develop a Master Plan for Clark Park. The goal of this master plan effort is to create a plan for Clark Park which protects and enhances its natural and civic vibrancy. The Plan will identify needs or opportunities for new infrastructure within Clark Park as well as important maintenance and upkeep strategies/infrastructure for the entire park. We want Clark Park to continue to be a place that can serve as a premier neighborhood park and gathering space while also supporting a variety of public uses and amenities daily.
Inventory & Analysis
Our team is committed to understanding the conditions and overall health of the site before diving into the initial design process.
Community Engagement
We will hold multiple community engagement events to introduce ourselves and be transparent about this master plan effort. Multiple surveys will be developed that will be open to the public to understand your wants and needs.
Design Development
Utilizing our findings from the community engagement process Studio Bryan Hanes will begin to craft a design that reflects the desires of the community. Design schemes will be presented to Friends Of Clark Park, University City District, & the public.
Master Plan Finalization
Once a scheme is selected and revised a final version of the master plan will be developed. We will proceed to create a comprehensive document for the public that includes all of our designs, our survey data, community feedback, and the final design for the future of Clark Park.
