Past, Present, Future You (Friday, 9/12/25, T-26)
We will begin this year by inviting ourselves to picture the future. Writing letters to your future self helps you consider your place in the world---and how to get there! We plan on reading these letters during our final meeting of the year, while also decorating our bulletin board in relation to National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
Zentangle and Mindfulness (Thursday, 9/25/25, Media Center / Maker's Space)
Zentangle is a form of art therapy that can help YOU stay mindful! Join us in a relaxing guided Zentangle practice using the Media Center's Maker's Space.

Smashing Pumpkins and Uplifting Positive Clouds (Friday, 10/10/24, P.A.C.K Time B, Room 3316)
Amongst the commotion that comes with the Friday before homecoming, we will gather to discuss positive and negative thoughts. What can these thoughts do to you? How can you change your mindset? As always, we will lead a related activity to practicing mindfulness: smashing (theoretical) pumpkins and uplifting positive clouds!
World Kindness Day Activities (Friday, 11/22/24, P.A.C.K Time B, Room 3316)
This year, the Mindfulness Club takes a new spin on World Kindness Day. We will emulate Via's recent experience of spreading kindness: circulating clothespins with kind messages across Wakefield.
The Gift of Gift Giving (Friday, 12/20/24, P.A.C.K Time B, Media Center)
The Mindfulness Club will wrap up 2024 with a presentation and activity on the gift of gift giving! Does the receiver or giver of gifts benefit more? What makes a gift meaningful?
School-Wide Positivity for Final Exams (Wednesday, 01/08/25, P.A.C.K Time A, Media Center)
This year, the Mindfulness Club had the goal of promoing positivity and encouragement to Wakefield students during final exams. During winter final exams, the Mindfulness Club distributed hundreds of stickers with positive messages!
"Take a Heart, Leave a Heart" (Friday, 02/14/25, P.A.C.K Time A/B, Wakefield Commons)
After a school-wide hiatus due to final exams, the Mindfulness Club will be holding a "take a heart, leave a heart" event in the media center. Come join us as we encourage Wolverines to write positive messages themed around Valentine's Day to other students (and take one on the way!).
Painting Rocks (Friday, 03/14/25, P.A.C.K Time B)
What is your favorite calming activity? How is the parasympathetic nervous system and the vagus nerve related to anxiety? As we paint rocks for the school to enjoy, these questions (and more!) will be answered to keep you mindful!
National Bus Driver Appreciation Day (Tuesday, 04/22/25, After School)
(1) Last week, the Mindfulness Club met to create cards for our bus drivers! (2) On National Bus Driver Appreciation Day, we will meet again to pass out these kind messages.

For our last meeting of the year, we will learn to accept our ever-evolving lives. As we say farewell to many of our members, the Mindfulness Club will use this change to better ourselves. After all, change is the only constant!

We all know the holidays can get a bit hectic. Whether it's family drama, full calendars, or stress, we could all use some holiday survival tips. In this meeting we will discuss how to resolve and avoid conflict, build relationships, and stay sane through the season.

I think we can all agree that social media can be stressful. Whether its comparing yourself to instagram models, watching hours of college decision reaction videos to see your chances, or researching how to be "cooler," social media is a great resource, but is often a haven for self deprecation and comparison. In this meeting, we will discuss the pros and cons of social media, and uncover why you can't seem to stop the scroll.

Life is hectic. Whether its school work, family, crazy schedules, or any other hurdle, it can be hard to incorporate time for mindfulness. In this meeting we will talk about practical methods to be a more mindful you, and even go on a nature walk!
Project Meeting: Mental Health Awareness Month Library Display (Thursday, 5/18/23, 2:30-3:15, Media Center)
This is our FINAL MEETING of the school year! We will be celebrating a mental health awareness month by decorating a display in the library and filming a promotional video for the club. Hope to see you there!
