The Mindfulness Club is a safe space for students to personally grow! We hold meetings based on topics like finding yourself, journaling, self esteem and how to find a work life balance for example. We hope that it will be a helpful way for students to work on themselves in a group environment and essentially learn how to be a better version of themselves! We plan to watch TED talks, do group activities, have discussions and also offer opportunities for independent reflection. We also lead school wide projects in efforts to bring positivity into the Wakefield community. This club is a great opportunity to make an impact on your school, and yourself!
This year, the Mindfulness Club hosted a "take a heart leave a heart" event on Valentines Day. During the event, students made anonymous valentines for random students, and took Valentines written by another student. Since last year, we distributed and collected almost 200 valentines!

Do you need to come to every meeting to remain a member?
No, all members are welcome to come to as many or as little meetings as possible. Additionally, many of our meetings are purposefully held outside of our advisor's room to welcome new members. If you have a schedule conflict, you are also welcome to leave meetings early or come late. We are very flexible!
Is it too late to join in the middle of the year?
Absolutely not. New members are always welcome to join at any time of the year. You also do not have to be an official member of the club to come to meetings.
Is this a meditation club?
No, the mindfulness club focuses on personal growth and psychology, and though we do sometimes touch on the benefits of meditation, it is not the main focus of the club.
What does a typical meeting look like?
Most meetings begin with a discussion about the topic which leads into a talk about the psychology behind the topic. Then we enjoy snacks, chat, and do an activity or craft, though every meeting is somewhat different as they are tailored to the topic.
How do I find out about meetings?
All of our meetings and dates are posted under the "Meeting Dates" tab on this website, and are also found on our Instagram and through Remind messages.
I have a topic idea, can I submit it?
Yes, this club is very community based. Any suggestions will be taken into strong consideration! Feel free to message us on Remind, through email, or on Instagram!
When are meetings?
Most meetings are during P.A.C.K. time, though meetings may vary depending on the scheduling of other clubs.
