The similarities I notice in the reasons books have been challenged are how difficult it is to come out, and inappropriate language and content. I don't see any trends in the books I chose to examine, but what caught my attention was how most of the books are about LGBTQ+. Yes, I think removing these books from a library would infringe on my 1st Amendment to free expression.
My name is Ingrid Hernandez. I am 15 years old and I'm a freshman. I spend most of my time watching Netflix, sleeping, or hanging out with my friends. Here are some of my favorite things: my favorite color is red or purple, my favorite food is sopes, my favorite number is 5, and my favorite thing to do is sleep or go outside. I'm a very organized person: which means I like everything to be organized. In my family, I have a mom, a dad, a sister, and a brother. I'm the oldest sibling, my sister is the middle child, and my brother is the youngest. My family is very supportive of whatever decisions I make. One of my goals is to pass this year to be a 10th grader next year. Another one of my goals is to get an 80 or above in all of my classes. And my last goal is to become successful and help my parents as much as I can.
