HAWKSBiLL SEA TURTLES!

A specific type of animal that lives in the ocean is a Hawksbill sea turtle. Did you know that sea turtles have lived around the earth for 100 million years! The Hawksbill Turtle is 2 to 3 feet and it can be 100 to 150 pounds. The Hawksbill turtle looks pretty and people take the Hawksbill sea turtle's shells, make them into jewelry and sell them even though it is illegal. This is one reason why the Hawksbill sea turtle is critically endangered. The turtle eats sea sponges, small fishes, jellyfish, and more. My favorite fact about the Hawksbill sea turtle according to https://ocean a.org/marine-life /hawksbill-turtle/ is that the moms lay their eggs in the same place/nesting place where the mom was born.

The Sea Sponge is one of the food on their menus.

The Hawksbill sea turtle also eats jellyfish.
