Helping students become confident researchers is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. Through library instruction, research consultations, and one-on-one support, I help students develop effective search strategies, evaluate information critically, and use information ethically.

Libraries are most impactful when they become an extension of the classroom. I value building collaborative relationships with faculty to design meaningful research experiences, strengthen information literacy, and connect students with the resources they need to succeed. Together, we create opportunities for learning that extend beyond a single assignment and foster habits of inquiry that lasts well beyond graduation.

My approach to teaching is rooted in the belief that learning should be engaging, supportive, and meaningful. Whether guiding students through the research process, teaching composition, or introducing information literacy concepts, I strive to create an environment where questions are encouraged and confidence is built. I believe students learn best when they actively participate in discovering knowledge rather than simply receiving information.

Learning has always been central to my professional journey. I believe that remaining an effective librarian and educator requires continual growth through graduate study, professional development, collaboration, and reflection. Each new opportunity expands my perspective and strengthens the ways I support students, faculty, and the academic community. Pursuing a Master of Arts in English alongside my background in Information Science has deepened both my appreciation for literature and my understanding of writing, research, and scholarly communication.
