So basically I’ve spent an entire week working on animation using whatever animation knowledge I know to make it. I learned a little about how to make things in spite of how…. subpar my equipment can be. A lot of steps were taken, some easier and more tolerable than others.
It’s simple, brash and honest. You don’t need to snort Picasso’s ashes to understand that I like things, they shaped my personality a bit, and that my tastes ebb and flow. And also I tend to cram stuff in there, which is also how I eat. If the hands are any indication I have something of a somewhat cruel and aggressive sense of humor, and I treat cats like my own child; despite the ironic fact I detest human babies.
I learned a little more about animation, about proper timing and follow-through.
I made this to just sorta follow along with the song, that and the fact it was a school assignment. There is some personification of the shapes but it is mostly visualizations for the music. In order to make this I had to put up with some Adobe jank, but rest assured I managed to wrangle that cantankerous software and put this out.
I'd describe the mood as slightly humorous and upbeat. The shapes bounce and morph around to the beat of the song, the colors stick out, and the actors of this play show some of their personalities.
I think the timing's a bit off in the beginning; that jaw harp isn't exactly the easiest thing to animate to; but it arguably gets better after the drums come in. It does its job and I can say I'm proud of myself. I'd probably touch upon the timing at the start, besides that I'd call this done.
I proposed a Doctor Who mural involving every Doctor, most of his companions, and some of his enemies. I got ¼ into the project before I ran out of time. I tried my best but I only had time to trace over my sketches to get something close to a finished drawing. I didn’t watch the 1st, 2nd, and 13th shows very much but I think I knew enough to draw them somewhat accurately. I’ll have to finish it after school.
The strength of it is my artstyle, or so I’m told.
