Broadly, we want to get students solving human-centered problems! We want to help students that don't normally receive entrepreneurial or design-based training.

Class of 2024Electrical and Computer EngineeringWe are students passionate about Design Thinking and how it can improve the personal and professional lives of others. Our project is part of an Engineering Clinic Capstone Project at Rowan University called Design Thinking Pedagogy.
Our team is a mixture of Mechanical, Electrical, and Engineering Entrepreneurship students.
Kenyon and Aatish are part of an organization called University Innovation Fellows. As part of their training for this fellowship, they received training on design thinking and other ways of using entrepreneurial mindset to improve higher education. Their journey last year culminated in the creation of Rowan Innovation Weekend, an event in which they trained students in design thinking and used their creativity to come up with mental health solutions. While they learned a lot from the event and definitely felt as though they had a lasting impact on the students that attended, Kenyon and Aatish were hungry to create some more lasting change at Rowan. Thus, the creation of this project, Design Thinking at Rowan.
This project is ran as a Junior and Senior Engineering Clinic. If you are interested in joining the Clinic, or getting involved in anyway, please reach out to Dr. Dominik at dominik@rowan.edu!
