About Me

My name is Carthan Connolly, and I m thrilled to join Poly’s Global Scholars program for the 2025-2026 year. I am a current senior at Polytechnic School, and have attended since seventh grade. At Poly, I play varsity softball and contribute to the Upper School Community Engagement Council. In my free time, I enjoy doing yoga, reading, spending time with my siblings and friends, and exploring new places. 

For my capstone project, I plan to work with
Catherine McFarlane to develop a culturally sustainable travel curriculum for Poly’s Global Initiatives Program. Our goal is to ensure that all Global Initiative trips foster mutual understanding, respect, and benefit between travelers and host communities, focusing on helping students recognize how tourism and business development affect local communities and how to engage responsibly as visitors.
