We meet every Tuesday in the drama room (G114) at 2:45 pm! Just drop by, chat with people about joining, and before you know it, you'll be part of the company! It's a good idea to know what crews you're interested in beforehand, so I recommend checking out our crews page!
Joining a crew is as simple as showing up and talking to a crew chief! Just come to a meeting, talk to crew leaders, and tell them you want to join! Most likely, you'll be added to a group chat so you can know when work is being done. A lot of work will be done closer to performance dates, so make sure to keep attending Gen Mem for info on what's going on.
Acting is not our only available job! A lot of work goes into every show behind the scenes. If you aren't in the cast and still want to participate, join a crew!
Yes. For every mainstage production, we require pay-to-play, which is a $50 payment and covers your dinners for Hell Week and your show t-shirt. It is required for everyone to turn in pay-to-play, both cast and crew. The good news is that it doesn't have to come out of pocket! We have Ad Forms which you can use to sell ads to local companies to pay your pay-to-play. We also are flexible with payments - speak to Gracie Furlage (our treasurer) or Mr. Hess if you need help arranging a payment plan!
Tech Week: Tech week is the week before hell week, where all crew members are expected to be here until 5 pm in order to get crew work done in time for the show! It is only weekdays.
Hell Weekend: Hell weekend is the weekend after tech week and before hell week. We come into the school at 12 pm, and on Saturday, leave at 5 pm, and on Sunday, leave at 8 pm. On Sunday, we are provided dinner.
Hell Week: Hell week is the week leading up to our opening night. For Monday - Wednesday we stay from the end of school to 8 pm and are provided dinner. On Thursday, our rehearsal schedule depends on how well the show runs, and we are not provided dinner. Friday is opening night!
Strike: Strike is the next two days after our last performance. We use this time to clean up our stage, organize our crew areas, and get ready for upcoming events! It is absolutely mandatory for both cast and crew, and if you don't attend strike, you cannot audition for our next show.
Yes! However you choose to participate, cast or crew, just make sure to communicate with your director or crew chiefs when you will or won't be here. Also keep in mind our mandatory days, which are tech week, hell week, and strike!
No! Cast parties are for EVERYONE in Act2, cast, crew, or otherwise! Just show up and have fun!
There are multiple ways for parents to get involved:
During Hell Week, we need parent volunteers to bring in dinner for the company!
If you're good with fundraisers, we often need parent help with putting on things like raffles!
For Festival, we need chaperones to attend with us!
We need houses to host our cast parties!
If you're interested in helping, check out the parent Facebook group for more information!
