What's happening in the library?
Each A-D rotation, your student will be coming to the library for an hour.
We will be learning how libraries are organized, how to select great reads that match our interests, and how to find trusted resources to use in research.
Each rotation, the students in Kindergarten-2nd grade, who have returned the books, will be allowed to check out new books.
The students in 3rd-5th grade will check out every other rotation to give them more of an opportunity to complete the chapter books they often checkout.
Students can always see what books they have checked out at home by going to Destiny Discover, linked off the "Resources" page of this website. Once logged into Destiny, click on the "My Stuff" pull-down and choose "Checkouts."
If a student forgets his/her books on library day or is absent that day, the books can be returned one of the following days and get new books.
If library books are more than one A-D rotation overdue, one parent will receive notice via email. The goal of the email is to ensure that parents are aware. My goal is to minimize the number of check out opportunities missed by the student.
