It is an optional activity that parents can choose to do to honor their child on his/her birthday , and their participation provides a new book to add to the library's collection.

With a $15 donation to the library, your child is invited to visit us on his/her special day* to choose a book from a pre-selected group of new books to add to the library in his/her honor. We take his/her picture with the book to place on the inside cover and our hallway bulletin board. Then your child gets to be the first one to check out the book and enjoy it! When finished, the book is returned and all who check it out afterwards will see the special kiddo who made it possible.

*Summer birthdays are celebrated on the half birthday. Birthdays that fall on the weekend are celebrated on Friday prior. Birthdays that fall on breaks and other "no school days" are celebrated the day last day we are at school before the break.
