Outdoor Furniture Project
Our goal for our design was to make a bench with enough space to fit three people. Our primary focus was comfort as we ensured the bench was inclined enough to do like a recliner. We also focused on durability and structure, ensuring the bench would survive the elements and mischievous high schoolers. We made sure that our base was made of pressure-treated wood, which is rot-resistant, and that our support beams were made of hardwood, which is very durable, to make sure the bench is future-proof. We also made the supporting sides in an X-shape, which has been proven to be one of the most durable base designs.
