Solve a world problem

The goal of this project was to find a world problem with your group and try to come up with a solution to help the issue. Me and my group chose to help solve the rising gas prices in the U.S.  We spent a lot of time running through different ideas on how we could solve such a complicated issue. After we had decided on a topic, we selected 3 main ideas to research; increased oil production, finding alternative options  and increased oil efficiency.  All of these topics are similar, but we decided to narrow it down and focus on finding alternative options. Our main idea was to cut down on clothing production and start encouraging reusable items such as masks, water bottles, and grocery bags.

After our decision we made a slideshow as well as a poster as presented all of our information. 

Content

In our slideshow we put a series of different ways to reduce or even stop your gas and oil usage. Some ways we could do this consisted of advertising alternative ways, providing new solutions to reduce oil usage, or find an alternative to oil.

We settled on advertising new solutions instead of using oil and gas. We advertised to cut down on a couple of products that you use in your everyday life. Such as, hard plastics, electronics, textiles, sporting goods, health and beauty products, or house supplies.

Reflection

In this project I was very satisfied with my group. We got a long very well, however that is what stopped us from doing our best work. We were constantly getting distracted and that caused us to be lacking in our final product. Personally I could have tried to take lead and keep everyone and myself on track, and I will definitely do better in my next project.
