For the Rube Goldberg machine being my first STEM project I believe that I did quite well, but I think that there were still many things I could've done to engage my entire team. I played the leading role in my group, making the ideas and sharing them with my team. If I had missed a day of the project my team would have sat and done nothing and I think that where we struggled the most. I had missed a day or two when we were building the project for sports and little to no progress was done with the project. In those kinds of situation I think I could've gone over the ideas thoroughly from the start instead of telling everyone else what we needed to do, or given them a list of things we needed to to and explain them in great detail because when I did give instructions they would still not know what to do.
In the future I believe I need to work more on my communication skills the most. I had a hard time getting my points across and telling my team what was going on and what they needed to do in order for us to have a better final project. I also believe that I could walk my future group members through my ides and listen to their feedback, or encourage them to give me feedback so I don´t blindly walk into a project with several things that may not work as well as I intended.
Over all I believe that I did a great job as a leading roll, making sure that when I was around my teammates were productive and equally did their portions of the project. I think that when the role of being a team leader is given to me I do rather well, taking charge and showing the way for my group members and doing my best to bring out their strengths and work on their weaknesses. Giving them feedback on what to keep doing and what to work on as we progressed through the project.
