Modifications and Energy Conservation 

Modifications 

• Wheels - wood to 1 cds to 2 cds  to wheels in between the cds

  • The wood did not work, 1 cd was to flimsy, 2 cds was still to flimsy, and wheels between the cds made them not flimsy

• Base - cut out hole for rubber bands

  • We needed a place for the rubber bands to connect with the axle

• Axle - Trimmed axles to 7.5 cm and 6 cm

  • The axles were to long and the wheels moved out of control because of that

• Coin carrier - moved divider from horizontal to vertical

  • The rubber band could not go there 

• PVC pipe - we cut the middle out

  • The rubber band could attach to the axle

• Nail - nail on the wheel to connect the axle to the wheel

  • Nail secured wheels so they would hold and not fall off
