Rube Goldberg Machine

In my group's rube goldberg project we spent about 3 weeks building and a week of planning our rube goldberg machine. The people in my group were Mathias Sonne, Hunter Urieartie, Jacob Simmons. We worked as a group for the most part.

In the beginning of the project we were changing our blue prints constantly to improve our project in the best ways. We had to change the screw into a funnel because we could not make a screw that would fit our marbles. We also had to make a few edits on pulleys.

While building the project we made a work log to record all of the work that we were doing. It was incorporated in a link in our presentation. The building part was very fun but we encountered some constraints in the process. We had a problem with the wall in the first step of our machine. Also there was an issue with the dominos and the lever.

Content

For the content peice of my group's project here is how we integrated Velocity, Acceleration, Force, Work, Potential Energy, Kinetic Energy, Mechanical Advantage, Simple Machines, Blueprinting schematics in scale, Construction logs.

We integrated it by first creating several ramps and open areas on the machine for the force, work, velocity, and acceleration.

For the potential and kenetic energy we have a lever and a wheel and axle to represent the built up energy or the potential energy to the kinetic energy.

The simple machines that we incorporated were a pully, inclined plane, lever, wheel and axle, screw/ funnel, and a wedge.

Reflection

In conclusion my rube goldberg project the 6 Cs that I sekseded in was collaboration, communication, critical thinking, conciensios lerning, charictor, and cultural competence. I did well in thies because I helped my group out a lot with making solutions to problems. My group's communication was good. We also were all very kind and caring to each other.

Next time I would like to improve on my listening skills because when we were being taut the physics of our rube goldberg machine I was not really understaning the concepts so could really improve on that. I could also improve on is my critical thinking skills because I could have brought some really good ideas to the table when in the building process.
