Use of sun angles- We made a umbrella to block out of sun to where the person sitting on the bench heads would be. we also put it near a tree blocking out a lot of the breeze.
Human patterns- We made our bench a place where people would wait for the parents to pick them up. People wait fir their parents to pick them up very often near the top parking lot at San Marin. Sitting against walls and just standing. We used these patterns to determine where our bench would be.
Materiel choice- We used Mainly redwood to help with the rain and pressure treated wood. We ued a patio umbrella for our choice of the umbrella.
Blueprinting- Our blueprints consisted of many different type of umbrella. benches. We had many different thoughts of what we were going to do. Our blueprints consisted of many different angles. Top, bottoms, sides, birds eye view ex.. and location area.
3d modeling - We used Styrofoam to make the 3d models. We used certain measurements to follow the real life model.
Budgeting/ materail list-
Reflection- I learned how benches need a certain type of wood to survive in the rain. I also learned how expensive benches could actually be. I want to keep working on how to stay focused all the time and how to help more in the eqautions.
