Growing up in Ginosar, a Kibbutz near the city of Tiberius, Liron flew on a plane for the first time to come to America in 1988 when she was 21, coming to Cambridge, Massachusetts to visit family on a tourist visa for a year. During her time in America, she met her now husband. She currently lives in Foxborough, Massachusetts and has two daughters and a son. Her eldest daughter is 29 and is an opera singer in New York, her son is 23, living and working in Boston, and her youngest daughter is 19 and a college student at UMass Amherst.
