Born to Morris and Sarah Roazen, Julius (known as Julie) immigrated from the Russian countryside to the booming metropolis of Boston, Massachusetts in 1900. Julius and his three brothers worked for the family business, leaving a distinct impact on the Greater-Boston area and laying the groundwork for the next generation of the Roazen family.

Information for this website was collected through an interview with Roazen's youngest daughter, Sheila Roazen Weiss. Weiss grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts before attending the University of Pennsylvania to become a guidance counselor and teacher. Since 1979, Weiss has lived in Westport, Connecticut.
