Education

Jierui Shen

When Jierui was looking for schools abroad, Lehigh University offered him a full ride and he took that opportunity to move to the US. Studying and working hard in America. "This is the kind of life I got used to." - Jierui Shen. He didn't want to leave the US becuase he liked the life he made over here.

Xiaoxin Liang

Xiaoxin studied in Russia for four years but she wanted to move to the US to continue her education with Jierui. She had her first daughter at the age of 24 during her first year of school in Brooklyn Conservatory. Studying hard and practicing piano during the day while taking care of her daughter at night, "those were the two hardest years of my life." - Xiaoxin Liang

Boston

Family

My family decided to move to Boston for the same reasons my mom studied music everywhere; better figure skating coaches, more opportunities for improvement, and creating a bigger network of friends and teammates.

Moving to Boston really paid off because my skating has drastically improved within a year. Not only do I have a community and team that I can rely on but I also have more true friends in both skating and school.

Because moving to Boston led to Xiaoxin giving all her piano students away, she now has more time to teach and guild Tiffany, her youngest daughter, in her pianist / musical path.
