Stacy is a family friend whom I have known for years. Although Stacy currently lives in Newton, MA , she is from in South Africa, where her upbringing set her family traditions and values up for success. The decision to move to America was not part of the original plan, as her entire family resided in close proximity, fostering a sense of connection and shared experiences. The unexpected, permanent move to America was due to the violence that surrounded Stacy in her home country. Her safety was compromised, and Stacy made the choice to prioritize security over endangerment. Stacy's story shows courage, adaptability and the importance of family.
