This painting was made to answer the question: How can I depict the excitement of imagining the future through observation of other people & their surroundings? I used bright colors & a stylized aesthetic to portray my excitement about what the future holds. Cafe shops often invoke personal-motivation, as I love people-watching and seeing each individual come together in one specific place. It often leads me to ask the question, “Which one of these people could I become?” which I hope to portray in this piece.
I used a collection of personal photos as references and was inspired by The New Yorker and Nike Adawi.
