• After the war, he got a job as a bartender and eventually bought the bar

  • Sold some Polish food (Pierogis & Gwumpkies) and had a lot of Polish clients

  • "He stayed close to his heritage that way, but he never visited Poland, and his parents never went back either because they feared that they would be arrested."

• Married Shirley and had six children (Steve, Bill, Michael, Walter, Mary Ann, and Linda)
