In light of Fidel Castro and the Cuban government takeover, the Fernandez Family is forced to flee Cuba and everything they once knew as home

Roberto Fernandez graduates from High School in Miami Florida

Roberto Fernandez marries Mary McAnulty whom he met during his two years at Pasadena Junior College

May, 1968

Roberto Fernandez graduates from UCLA after attending two years at Pasadena Junior College, he graduated with a Degree in Art Education, and he was living in Pasadena, California

April 11, 1969

Roberto and Mary Fernandez's first son is born they named him Robert

July 15, 1971

Roberto and Mary Fernandez's second son is born they named him Peter

The Fernandez family moved from Pasadena, California to Sunnyvale, California, because their eldest son Robert, had bad asthma and the pollution was too bad in Pasadena

The Fernandez family made their final move to Harvard, Massachusetts, for a new job opportunity
