This is a story my grandfather told me during our interview... he saw it as very important that I told this story.
"I was not the best student in the world in high school, I probably should have gone to trade school. I went to Christian Brothers La Salle. One funny thing I remember is that I was told I would never graduate from high school, because I did not do what I should have done. That did not give me motivation but I always remember it because when I did graduate from high school and college, I eventually got a Master's degree in Art Graduation, and I am now a college professor at Clark University in Worcester, after creating the most successful program the college has ever had which is the Game design program. Now with the help of others at Clark University, we have a new building for Robotics and game design and we are number four in the world. So it is a pretty good achievement for someone who was told he would never graduate from High School."
My Grandfather's story is one of perseverance, struggle, and success. I am inspired by him every day and I am extremely grateful for everything he endured, so I could stand here today and tell his story.
