It’s an honor and pleasure to introduce you to The Neuwirth Times. The team of Introduction to Journalism students have been working hard to present you with news, entertainment, and resources to help build connections within our school and to the world around us. I believe strongly in the power of the school newspaper as a way for students to find their voice and discover their passions. I’m proud of the work our students have put in, but even more, I am excited about what is coming in future issues, as we learn how to write, edit, design, and publish a school newspaper that we can all be proud of an enjoy..

Please enjoy Volume 1 Issue 1: The Special Halloween Issue of The Neuwirth Times. There are some suggestions for how you should spend your Halloween night, as well as some controversial opinions about trick-or-treating that are sure to ruffle some feathers. And speaking of Halloween, be safe, have fun, and be kind to one another. And if you do end up going door-to-door for candy, just make sure your treats are unopened and are not actually drugs.
