Library Media Teacher- Kendyl Schine

Welcome to the Library! I grew up in Kenosha my whole life. I even attended Pleasant Prairie as a kid! I am excited to begin my 3rd year teaching. Before coming to Pleasant Prairie Elementary, I taught 5th grade in Maple, Wisconsin for two years. This year, I am excited to move to the role of Library Media Teacher. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education from Viterbo University

Although I grew up in Kenosha, this is my first year back in 6 years! Prior to coming back, I lived in Duluth, MN. Outside of school, I love watching and playing sports, traveling, and shopping.

Library Assistant  - Barb Gough

Mrs. Gough has been a stay-at-home mom most of her adult life, caring for her 3 children, 2 of whom fall under the special needs category. All 3 of her kids were students at Pleasant Prairie Elementary (equalling 10 years) and during their time at the school she volunteered for field trips, helped in the classrooms and donated supplies as needed. When her youngest was in 5th grade (2017-2018) she started volunteering in the Pleasant Prairie Elementary Library and really enjoyed getting to work with the librarian and all the students. She found herself at school more than home at times helping out. The following year she was hired as a part-time librarian assistant and looks forward everyday to going into work. She feels that if she can make at least one person smile each day, it was a great day!!

Outside of school Mrs. Gough enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, going to live theater shows, being outdoors and going to the gym. Music is a big part of her family with all 3 of her kids participating in some form of music through school, plus Mrs. Gough herself can play the flute, so there is always music playing at her home. She also likes adventure and has done things like zip lining, rock climbing, 2 week road trips and multiple 5k run/walks. On her down time she likes to go for long walks, play games with her family or watch movies. She feels that everyone should try to have a positive outlook about themselves and to remember this: “I’m not perfect, but I’m perfect at being me!”
