IVC (Ignatian Volunteer Corps) seeks to be of service to one another and the larger community; to be "men and women for others.” IVC is a club open to all Saint Ignatius students who want to deeper their involvement in issues of faith and justice through ongoing service here in Chicago. IVC accomplishes our mission through events such as our annual Halloween party for neighborhood elementary students and second semester sandwich making day. We also sponsor monthly service and justice projects that include adult literacy tutoring, card-writing for cancer patients, volunteering at the city's oldest boys and girls club and much more. As we seek to build a more just community, we look to the example of Jesus through prayer and reflection that inspire and sustain our commitment to a “faith that does justice.”
