IMPORTANT BUS INFORMATION FOR THE 25-26 SCHOOL YEAR
We have a new contractor providing service to our school district and want to make you aware that all bus routes will be changing. In an effort to streamline operations in the most safe and effective ways, all students will be set up to be bussed to and from their home locations. All previous custody and child care set ups will be removed.
There will be no bus passes available at any of the school buildings. Students must use the bus and stop to which they are assigned.
You may request child care and custody stops, according to guidelines, for the upcoming school year, via forms that are available under the Forms section of the Transportation page. Approved requests will be valid for one school year.
Custody requests must be accompanied by a court order detailing the custody agreement.
Child care requests must be consistent five days a week - the alternate stop will replace the student's home address stop. The student may not go back and forth between a child care stop and the home address stop.
All requests must be submitted annually, prior to the start of each year.
Requests for all returning students should be submitted prior to July 15th to be included in the routing for the start of the school year. Bus information will be emailed to families in early to mid-August.
If you have an address change over the summer, please submit the address change to the district registrar, as soon as you are able. Address changes, at the start of the school year, may take up to 5 days to take effect.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation as we work to provide safe and efficient routes for our students.
Students are assigned bussing based upon their primary home address.
Students may have only one AM bus stop and one PM bus stop - they do not need to be the same, but they must be consistent 5 days per week..
For split custody situations, we will do our best to provide in district transportation based upon your custody order.
Morning and/or afternoon stops for child care may be arranged provided the stop is on an existing bus route that services your child’s school. The alternate child care stop location will replace the bus information for the home address.
Bus routes will not be extended to accommodate any alternate stops.
Students must use a consistent stop in the morning and a consistent stop in the afternoon.
Requests for custody or child care stops will be valid for one school year. New requests must be submitted each year.
Returning students should have these forms submitted prior to July 15th each year, so that approved alternate stops are included during bus routing procedures.
Bus passes will not be available at any of our buildings. Students must use their assigned busses and stops only.
We realize that emergencies do arise, however, in the interest of safety for the students, your emergency plan should be to send someone to the school or to the student’s regular bus stop for your child.
The transportation department along with the drivers, building secretaries, teachers and administrators appreciate your understanding and positive support!
