What is Title I?
Title I is a 100% Federally funded supplemental education program that provides financial assistance to local educational agencies to improve educational opportunities for children. Title I programs are designed to help children meet the state content and performance standards in reading, language arts, and mathematics.

FASD operates a school-wide program within each of its three elementary buildings. All students are considered Title I students and therefore have access to Title I services and resources.

Title I specialists and classroom teachers work together to identify students who need additional support and intervention to achieve success in Reading and/or Math. The team then develops and implements strategies to help students improve their skills. A variety of techniques and materials are used to practice these skills. Progress monitoring is conducted regularly to ensure students' needs are being met.
