Verbis Creare; To Create With Words
In an era where diplomacy and negotiation are more important than ever, delegates need to learn to advocate for what they believe is right and to pursue what they strive for. In the Model United Nations (MUN), delegates should back up their words with concrete action throughout the conference.
The essence of MUN lies in the power of negotiation and debate. Thus, this theme encapsulates the idea of MUN , emphasizing on achieving diplomacy through dialogue. It shows how MUN is built on persuasion, negotiation, and articulation, with words being a delegate’s greatest tool. Every speech, amendment, and resolution would be an act of creation through words, where delegates do not just discuss global issues, but also build innovative solutions through conversation.
Through this theme, we aim to remind delegates that their words hold great meaning. The conveying of ideas through speeches and negotiations becomes a tool for the creation of ideas, solutions, and partnerships. “Verbis Creare” celebrates the transformative potential of effective communication and encourages participants to harness diplomacy not just as debate, but as constructive dialogue that shapes a better world.
Aligned with the mission of Model United Nations, this theme emphasizes that the most profound global progress begins not with force, but with conversation. It invites delegates to use their voices as instruments of collaboration, to speak not just to be heard, but to build.
Ultimately, this ties into the idea of how words can ignite change and highlights the importance of voicing out issues and concerns to achieve success.
