Self-Care and making time for it. My own version of self care is making pour over style coffee. I try to make a point of making coffee every morning to start my day in order to not only wake myself up, but to also give my mind a focal point. I focus on the steady flow of hot water as it leaves the kettle.
My capstone group and I presented at OTAC on October 19th, 2019 in Pasadena, California. My capstone project is called "Video Modeling: Occupational Engagement for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder". It was an enriching experience presenting my project to other OT students and professionals. I was thankful for the opportunity to showcase a project that I've been working for nearly two years and look forward to present at AOTA on March 27th and 28th, 2020 in Boston, Massachusetts! I am happy to announce that my Honor's capstone got accepted to AOTA as well. My honor's capstone is called "Video Modeling Use in Work Occupations for Individuals with Autism: A Systematic Review".
