Born and raised in Novato, California, I always had an interest in teaching, especially in the field of English Language Arts. I spent the first 18 years of my life moving through the wonderful public schools of Marin County before graduating from Novato High School and attending the University of California, Davis (UC Davis). After completing my degree in English Literature, Criticism and Theory in 2026, I jumped right into my graduate program here at Dominican University of California, working towards Master’s of Education and Single-Subject Teaching Credential. I plan to graduate in May of 2027 and immediately seek employment as a high school English teacher.
My experience in fields related to English Language Arts goes beyond just teaching. While at UC Davis, I completed an internship with the Global Affairs Department centered around crafting profile articles such as "Engineering Change: Bridging Continents through Leadership Training and Civil Transportation Reform". This work provided me valuable experience in cross-sector communication and creative writing. I also worked as a copy editor for The California Aggie, the student newspaper of UC Davis whose content is viewed over 70,000 times per month. This experience in a variety of English Language Arts related fields helped me understand the importance of the English language as an artistic medium and important means of communication.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy mountain biking, writing poetry and spending time with friends and family around this beautiful earth we call home.
