The Dominican Experience at Dominican University of California is one that ties in the institutional learning outcomes. It is a developmental process that all Dominican students undergo during their time at the university. As a Dominican student, we learn different skills, knowledge, and expand our personal capabilities through our time inside and outside the classroom.
Through knowledge gained from the classroom, we learn about the world itself and its functions. On the other side of this, through experiences gained outside the classroom, such as meeting new people and volunteering, we learn how to navigate the world and adapt to an ever-changing society. Throughout the time here at Dominican, all students develop as individuals and grow as people from the institutional learning outcomes (ILOs).
