I absolutely love my watercolor of Venice, Italy. My favorite part are the lanterns. I also love the small buildings, canoe, and domes in the background. I was inspired to paint Italy because I wanted to travel there someday, and I actually will be this summer. This project has been one of my favorites in art and I would love to paint something like it again.

I learned how to make a pointillism portrait. This picture is made up of little dots. The hardest part was figuring out how to shade her face. I really like everything about it except the skin color. It is more yellow than tan. I found a picture of this girl on Pinterest, and I thought she was intense and showed a lot of culture in her outfit.

One of my favorite fruits are strawberries, and I like chocolate strawberries even more. My favorite parts of this painting are the color of the strawberry and the shiny parts of the chocolate. I learned that I liked painting with acrylic paints because it is easy to blend and it is fun to make any color.

This type of project is fun to do because instead of adding a material, you take away. All the marks are created with a knife, allowing the white to show. I liked making a snow leopard because the texture was fun to scratch out. I wish I would have added a little color to the eye. That would have been really cool. My favorite part is the eye, the nose, and the spots of black.
