PREFLECTION

I am excited for this project and am curious to see which medium I am going to do. I think I might do colored pencil but I may end up enjoying doing another option. I think I am going to like this project more than others because it is for someone else rather than for myself. I hope that this project never becomes a burden while doing it because its really cool that we have this opportunity to do this for some kids and hopefully make their day.

This is my graphite practice and overall I think it turned out pretty good. I really like the way that this one looks but I feel bad giving a kid a black and white picture, which is the main reason I am not going to choose this medium.

This is my oil pastel practice and I think that this is my favorite of all of them. I really like how this one looks but I am not going to choose this medium because I didn't enjoy doing the process. This medium made me really angry while doing it so I am not going to choose this one.

This is my watercolor practice and it is medium I decided to do for my main project. The colors on this one are my favorite and I had the most fun doing this one.

This is my color pencil and it is by far the worst one. The colors are terrible and it doesn't even look like a real person. I have nothing good to say about this color pencil practice. I had high hopes for color pencil, and it did not turn out well.

FINAL PORTRAIT

Here is my finished portrait of kid in Cameroon. Overall I do not think that this is my best work but it is still decently good. I feel as though my practice was a lot better than the actual one which is a little bit upsetting. Part of me wishes that I had chose oil pastel as my medium but I am still happy with my decision. Even though I have some minor regrets about this project I can easily say that I really loved doing it and how it came out in the end. I hope that when this child receives my portrait that he is really happy with how it turned out. If I could say anything to this child I would tell him that I had a great time making his portrait and I hope that he loves it as much as I do.
