B2SD poster

I choose the back-to-school dance to make a poster about because it was coming up and needed to advertise it to students. The media I used to create the poster was Canva. Some techniques I learned while creating this was basically how to operate Canva and use it to my advantage. The goal of the project was to make a poster that was eye-catching and would encourage students to come to the dance. This final project is what I hoped for, I wasn't expecting much out of my first time using Canva but I believe it turned out well. My favorite part about this poster is how all the colors work together to get the student's attention and gets the point across. My least favorite part is the background because it looks boring and a little too simple. This piece will influence my future artwork because now I know how to use and design things using Canva.

I Am Famous

I chose the MLK speech because it was a very well-known historical event and it would challenge me to work with a black and white background. The media I used to make this picture is Photoshop. One thing I learned was how to import pictures into Photoshop, cut and crop them, and put filters onto them. The goal of the project was to edit myself into many different images and try and make them somewhat believable. I wasn't trying to make my image too believable because that would take a lot of work but my face in the image doesn't stick out too much so I'm fine with it.
