During this project, I learned how to shade and double the size of an original photo. My goal for this project was to make my drawing as realistic as possible. I think I somewhat reached my goal but I also think I could have done a little better. The part I like best about my final project is the way my pinky finger turned out, I´m not sure why. Overall, I had a good time drawing, doubling, and shading my project.
During this project, I learned how to blend paints together and make the photo look like it flows rather than having the different paint colors look like they were just thrown onto the paper. I could have shaped the tulips instead of doing a freestyle kind of flower look. The part I like best about myh project is the sky. I think I made the sky look exactly like my inspiration photo. Overall, I had a good time learning how to blend my paints in nicely and distribute the colors evenly.
During this project, I learned how to use clay coils to make a spacious and presentable bowl. I could have done better my first bowl because this was my second bowl that I had restarted when we first started coiling because understanding coils was hard for me at first. I think the design turned out way better than I thought it was going to and I'm really satisfied with how the color turned out, I think this was one of my best projects. Overall, I had a good time learning about coils and how to properly glaze a clay bowl.
During this project, I learned how to make the proper lid for a clay jar and to use the wire to create the proper lid. I could've taken more time painting my clay jar but I had to paint this the morning of finals. I like my design though, I think I did a good job picking the colors out I think they compliment each other. Overall, I enjoyed learning about all the important steps to making a sturdy clay jar.
During this project, I learned that if you are going to make a whistle then you need to make sure you have not too big and not too small of a hole on the inside of your whistle so it blows. I could've made my elephants eyes more realistic but I like how big the ears are and I like how I used the end of the whistle as a trunk for my elephant. Overall, I enjoyed learning about all the small and important details for making a whistle.
During this project, I learned that you need to use a good amount of water but not too much. I also learned that you don't want your colors to dry before you are finished blending. I could've been more precise and patient with my water color, this is definitely not my best work. However, I like all my shades of pink that I was able to create. Overall, I enjoyed learning how to watercolor and how peaceful it can be while doing it.
During this project, I learned how to use baby oil and q- tips to strategically blend out my drawing. I also learned how to blur a background to focus on the main part of the drawing. However, I could've blended the background flowers out a little more to make them more blurred. I really like how my butterfly turned out though, I love the detail that I put into it. Overall, I enjoyed learning how to dive deeper into oil pastels.
During this project, I learned how to make stamps and how to use the ink on the stamps. I also learned how to edit pictures online to be able to print them. However, I wish I added more detail to my flamingo so you could tell right off the bat what animal it is. I really liked how all my prints turned out though, and I like all the colors I chose. Overall, I am very pleased with how my printmaking stamps turned out.
