For this project we had to draw self portraits, we used pencils for this drawing. I learned a lot of new techniques like how to shade correctly and how to do shadows correctly. I also learned how to draw noses better and how to draw hair even though I wasn't very good at it. This piece is meaningful to me because it is my own face and I drew it. The goal was to make it look like me as much as possible and I feel like I did achieve that even though it wasn't exactly like me I think I can tell that it was supposed to be me. It wasn't exactly what I had in mind but I am still happy with it regardless, my favorite part were my eyebrows and my pupils. This will inspire me to do pencil art better in the future.
