This project was a very fun one and a great one to start off the year. I had a hard time trying to keep the shape when I had first started it, as it was slanting to right a bit. I had a decently easy time doing the painting and I really enjoyed that part.

For this praticular project, I had a hard time with the carving part as it was very challenging to get the correct shape with all of the curves and straight edges. It was very challenging and I had to restart the project 3 times due to either the sculpture breaking or I felt it wasn't good enough. My favorite part of the project was the painting as it was relativley easy compared to the rest of the project. Overall, I feel that I really struggled with the project towards the beggining but at the end I feel it all worked out for the best.

The pottery wheel project was a very fun one. I think this might have been my favorite project I've ever done. It was very hard in the beginning while trying to get the clay centered, but after some help from Mr. Langmaack on that issue I was having the project just became fun. I'm normally a very clean guy, but it was kinda fun getting dirty and making these pots. It was always a wonderful mystery trying to figure out what shape it was going to take on. The most challenging part of this project was probably attatching the handle to the mug I made.

The coil vase project was very challenging for me. I rushed through it at the beginning and I'm still not sure why I did that. It led to some really big issues with the structure of the pot in the future. I wish that I had done more work to keep it centered, as that would have helped it's overall look that suffered down the road. I really enjoyed the painting process though, and it was fun trying to find colors that would pop with the dark blue background. I really enjoyed that part. It was also very fun to be part of the firing process. I was very pleasantly surprised that my eyebrows didn't catch on fire, as I went into it thinking they were as good as gone.
