Advanced Art

I am going to draw/sketch a portrait of a young Indian orphan. We are going to make these portraits and then send them out to the kids and receive a video of them opening the gifts. I am excited to hopefully brighten the Aayush's life, but I am a bit nervous about messing the portrait up. I hope that as I start to get into it my nerves about not being able to sketch or draw very great will start to dissipate.

The most important aspect of this portrait is to get the proportions of the face correct. With wonky proportions and out of place features, it throws off the whole project. This could be considered worship because I am putting my love and effort into this project to brighten Aayush's day. I am trying to show that I care for and love him, which is spreading the love of Christ. If the image I make is similar to the print out, I will be successful.

These last few weeks of trying out new methods of making this portrait have been a cool experience. I got to try out a few methods that I had not tried before. I am excited for this project. I have learned that color balancing is very difficult, which is why I am going to choose pencil, as I have a very hard time color matching. However, I am pretty decent at shading and blending the pencils to make a  good portrait.

This is an example of beauty creating. I am modeling a portrait after a child who has had a rough life. I am giving them some joy and happiness, and spreading the beauty of God's creation.

While the process of my photo was interrupted by a mistake, the process was still enoyable. I enjoyed modeling a portrait after a kid who hasn't had the best life, in hopes of improving their day. I didn't have too much trouble creating the photo as I am decent with pencil, however, I can't take all the credit, as I received help from a couple of students who had already finished theirs. I am extremely happy with the end product as it does a great job of replicating the photo I was given to draw off of.

I hope that Menaj feels love and happiness when she receives this portrait. I hope it reassures her that God and other people care for her. I would wish to tell her that she is beautifully and wonderfully made, that God has a plan for her, and that He loves her very much.

This is my Raku coil Vase. I enjoyed making this, as my skills have increased since I did this last in 3d art. I am very happy with how it turned out. I like the colors and I think it looks great. The only issue is part of the top lip broke off. However, I glued it and it is mostly fine. I am thankful I was able to do this as my last project in Advanced Art.
