3D Art

This project was not too artistically dependent which was nice for me. I like to make things with my hands and not have to do too much in the realm of painting and styling. I liked this project because I was able to make it myself and cut the foam pieces out. The design for this was based on my initials EU, as you can see in outline and inside of the E. I then made the middle of the E like a plane because I travel a lot, then I colored it red and put the flag of the country of Canada where I was born.

I also liked this project because it was almost completely cutting and working with my hands. I enjoyed using the power saw thingy to cut out the shape of this compass. This project was not the hardest thing ever but it was a challenge to manipulate this hard foam to the shape I wanted it to be. I chose this shape because it was basically the only thing I had on me that would fit in the block at the time.

I enjoyed this project because it was not too complicated and it was really cool and fun to make. When we glazed it and took it out of the kiln, I was really happy with how it turned out and that it was multi-colored. This project was very enjoyable to make and to see how I can improve further. Overall, a very good experience and I am glad I was able to do it.

This project was about making a lantern from reed and starched paper. I really liked this project, as I was able to freely make it what I wanted it to be, and I was able to work with a cool material. Overall, very enjoyable project to make and I like how it turned out.
